Sgtray.exe
System Tray icon and background monitoring task for Veritas Storage Guard which in most cases gets installed as part of Backup Exec Desktop or Backup Exec Desktop Pro (as well as some of the other Veritas backup products). When running in the background, Storage Guard alerts you when you have not done a backup of your data for a while. Also, if you decide to do a backup you can do it straight from the System Tray icon.

Process name: Sonic Update Manager or VERITAS Update Manager or VERITAS StorageGuard
Company: Sonic Solutions (www.sonic.com) or VERITAS Software, Inc (www.veritas.com)
File: sgtray.exe
Note: Any malware can be named anything - so you should check where the files of the running processes are located on your disk. If a "non-Microsoft" .exe file is located in the C:\Windows or C:\Windows\System32 folder, then there is a high risk for a virus, spyware, trojan or worm infection!

sgtray.exe is a utility from VERITAS Software Corporation which installs itself on the system tray bar, and serves to remind you to backup your files. This is a non-essential process. You may disable/enable it as needed.

Hi its a safe program my friend don't worry about it. The good news is you can disable it as it is not needed. Go to the site below and it shows you how to do it I think.
