I'm going on a trip, & the transportation is already paid for. I'm very worried that I won't be able to have enough money for my extra baggage on the Greyhound bus. I'm going back to New Orleans to get some of my things, & I'm just scared because I know I need to get my stuff from down there. I just moved to Brooklyn. I have to get my clothes, shoes, TV, microwave, printer, SPanish books to help me for my career, bike, & important documents like my birth certificate & stuff.

Sit down, take a deep breath. Now, don't you feel better already. Itemize the stuff you have to do, as you get it complete, stroke it off the list. You'll get it all done, then wonder why you were so hyper about it all.

Go with UPS.. it will be cheaper, and they are very reliable. It sounds like you have even have enough baggage for a small U Haul. Could you Greyhound to NO, and then get a friend or family member to take the Uhaul with your things back to Brooklyn. I realize that might not be convenient, but it could be a little cheaper depending on rates now. Good luck, stay safe.

You might want to consider leaving the TV and Microwave (and other heavy things) and buying them new/used in Brooklyn. The other stuff, I would consider shipping UPS Ground to your new place. It will probably be cheaper (and easier) to do it that way, rather than taking extra on the bus.
