If i have read that correctly then you must register wedding in Scotland but unsure.

No, the marriage is registered as taking place in Gretna, as that is where it did actually take place. That's it, all above board.

Your marriage certificate should be enough for you to change your name.
However, did you know that legally, you can only change your name by Deed Poll! Although a married name change is recognised, it isn't technically legal!
