you do not describe a church you describe a business scam.... the preacher you mention with the illegitimat children should not be in any pulpit or other leadership position in any congregation.

First off, if that scenario were true, that is an exception, not the rule. How many $350,000.00 cars are on the market?
Most ministers of the Gospel live on meager salaries, and some even have to get "real" jobs outside the ministry to support their families.
Giving to the local church body is a privilege, and is also commanded in both the Old and New Testaments. But, in the New Testament, we can give whatever we have purposed in our heart to give. (II Corinthians 9:7)
As to the preacher who has kids from two different women, I would ask if that occurred before he became a Christian or after? If after, then he is disqualified from the ministry.
But, in all honesty, I think you're here trying to stir the pot, since the price of the car is so exorbitant, I can't imagine anyone in a ministry driving one. If it is real, I would love to see proof.
Regardless, there are charlatans in every profession. But that shouldn't discredit to whole profession.

I would not feel like a fool. Because I would not go to such a church. Sounds like those "propserity gospel" churches, where the preacher bilks everybody out of their money and goes laughing all the way to the ban. I don't know that there are all that many of those, but I know there are some, unfortunately. It is sad that there are "preachers" that are evil enough to use religion hypocritically to get wealthy, and it is sad that there are still people who let themselves get hood-winked by such frauds. Who said: "There is a fool born every minute"? I think Barnum said: "A fool and his money are easily parted".

Thankfully, I know that if I give an offering at my church, it goes either directly to charity, or to keep the church's bills paid (water, electricity, etc). If I ask the vicar where the money goes, I'll be given a full breakdown of it, with every penny accounted for. Nobody's driving a fancy car or anything like that. Perhaps it's time for you to look into other types of churches with a better pattern of stewardship.

Not all churches are this way. My pastor lives in a $50,000 house and drives an older pickup. We have a benevolence fund at the church to help people who have trouble paying their bills. We also have a food pantry if people need food. A divorced man is not allowed to be a pastor in our church. We also give help to homeless shelters and a family crisis center. You need to look for a church that practices Christian living and ministry. They are out there.

Church is ran by humans and unfortunately humans make mistakes. There is allot of hypocrisy in church and just because they call themselves a church doesn't always mean they have the best intentions. Sometimes you have to go to several differ ant churches until you can find a church that will fit you and the people don't seem as fake........most likely it will take awhile but don't give up.

Some pastors work outside the church and they can do whatever they want with their money. If the church is taking in that much money and there are members who have trouble paying their bills, then you should confront the pastor with your knowledge. If you do not hold him accountable for his doings, then you are wrong too.

My church isn't like that. We have a small congregation. My pastor drives a car that he has had for at least seven years. Our new pastor has a car that is at least five years old. Our church is full of normal people, not those who want your money to give to 'God' and then take it and go out to buy their million dollar homes and their fancy sports cars. I can't stand ministers who are like that.

Become a preacher yourself and share the wealth or just Tithe in a way that helps others as well as the Church. The choice is yours and so is your money to whom you choose to give it too!

You seem to have been associating with counterfeit christianity.
Please don't confuse christianity with christendom.
Christendom is a counterfeit of the real thing.
Acts 20:29,30
"after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among YOU and will not treat the flock with tenderness, and from among YOU yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves"
You seem to have encountered the fulfillment of that truth.
Get out of her and separate yourself!
