Same thing happened with my cocker spaniel. She never had a period or went into heat, we had her for 6 years, nothing. We were going to breed her, but nothing ever came of it. She also had seizures really bad. The vet said that animals are like humans, they sometimes have problems and that was the case with mine. There is no guarantee on fertility of any animal until you try.

I would take her to the vet and have them do an ultrasound on her to check out her uterus. We've seen a few hermaphordite dogs at my clinic over the years and though it's rare, it does happen. She might also have a birth defect or some metabolic disorder. But I would think that some bloodwork and an ultrasound would be very good first steps at getting a peek at what's going on inside her :)

You should get her spayed. Why does it matter how much you paid for her? What does that have to do with her coming in season?
If you paid a lot of money for her cuz you intended to breed her to make money - then let this be a lesson to you.
Just get a JOB instead.

She's probably come into heat by now, but maybe didn't show all the signs (Like bleeding...). Every female (Dog, human, whatever...) is different. It doesn't mean there is anything wrong with her.

Have you discussed this with her vet? Is she by any chance fixed? If she is, she won't come into heat...

Did you receive her as a puppy? Maybe there's something wrong with her plumbing. Have your vet check her out. I assume you want to breed her, but I'm not sure why you would be asking this question 1.5 yrs later when most bitches have their first heat around 6 mos.
