Is the age of the person at time of transplant a critical factor in determining how long one can survive with the new organ?

It depends on the heath of the individual recieving the transplant and how well they take care of themselves after word, and wether they continue to take their anti rejection drugs.

I am over nine years past a double lung transplant and have friends that are nearing 20 or more years with heart, liver and kidney transplants, basically ther are no limits beyond those of a normal lifetime.
