I disagree! Humans deceived by demonic influence, who have not been renewed in Love, are the cause of wars. Religion and denominations, have nothing to do with being a SAVED Christian.

It is your relationship with the Lord, your heart, your spirit that is important. I interact with people everyday who are EXTREMELY religious, and call themselves Christian, but through the Grace of God, discernement CLEARLY reveals they are filled with demonic spirits. They are hateful, unforgiving, liars, hypocrits, prideful, etc.

1 John 4:1-6 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

Many Christians filled with RELIGION, do not preach and teach to Glorify God, they do so for selfish reasons....to be seen, proven right, admired, and yes, to create violence, war, and hate in God's name.

On the surface war may appear to be about money, race, or greed in various forms...but it's much deeper than that.

Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Blessings, Miji

I'm sorry but 'religion' is not the cause of ALL wars ... most wars are based on 'racial' differences, or are fought over 'territiory' (land) and some are even fought ... as in the current war in Iraq ... over OIL. There is 'some religious bias' in the war in Iraq, but it's basically mostly about the 'oil reserves' in Iraq ...

Agree for the majority of wars, in ancient times. But in most modern cases its nearly always political.. Wars stopped being about religion more or less after the 17th century...

The war on terrorism mite be viewed as religious seen as religious zealots are fighting it..

Disagree. Wars are also fought because somebody wants what someone else has -- land, oil, money, or whatever a government wants to get its greedy little paws on.

"Saving the heathen savages from hell" is just a noble-sounding excuse, that's all.

~~~ amir,,,,The US in not in the middle east to spread the gospel of christianity,,,,it's only reason is because of Oil. One can learn, even from a hi-school history class, that Wars are fought primarily out of Greed. It shouldn't take a PhiBetaKappa to realize that The Admin. is full of Oil People.
Since WW2, all wars that have involved the United States have been financially motivated. The current war in Iraq simply has religious overtones to it, as well.
Not ALL wars, but the greater majority of wars have been about religion.
Notable exceptions: American Revolution, American Civil War.
Actually the vast majority of wars have had nothing whatsoever to do with religion.
