I am told people in Washington believe in everything except our lord and savior. I know that cannot be true. The rumor is that they believe in worshipping trees, mother earth, mountains, it is also said that racistism is alive in Washington.

The Northwest is a bastion of liberalism. I live in the Northwest and am constantly ashamed of the morals projected here. I do not think it is any small coincidence that we are right on top of a "fault".

There are tons of christians in WA. They lean on the more liberal side of things for the most part. If you want to find fundies, head for the midwest or the deep south. There's a reason it's called 'the bible belt'. Is scary down there, they're so nutty about it.

As far as racism - same thing. You want racists? Head for the bible belt. WA is pretty laid back. I've seen more racism in one small town in Michigan than I ever saw in California, Oregon or Washington combined. Don't even start with the kinds of things I saw in Oklahoma and Texas! WOW!

I think you'll find more racism in the Bible Belt than anywhere else in the nation. And I'm sure there are at least a few Christians to be found in Washington state.
