You can get a loan or a credit card without it showing on your wifes credit simply by not putting her name on the application.

But you really should tell her.

If the unsecured loan or credit card is in your name only, then it won't appear on her credit report. But please tell your wife what you are doing so she doesn't discover this on her own one day and assume you are hiding things from her or deceiving her.
