DON'T DO ANYTHING FOR HER!!

I'm a girl, and HATE V-day (if you want to do something for me, do it because YOU want to, not because Hallmark told you to). For a couple of years now, my boyfriend (now my fiance) and I have not done anything for the "holiday." I just mentioned it to him recently ("we're not doing anything for valentine's, right?") and he gave me this lame grin. Makes me think he wants to do something (I think because this is our first valentines that we're engaged) for me. So, that was last week. Valentine's is a few days away and I'm going crazy because I don't want him to get me something and me not to have anything for him; not to mention the fact that I don't want to do anything, period.

Talk to your gf, make sure she doesn't want to celebrate. Then, DON'T. You'll only make her feel bad if you do something and she doesn't.

So....are you going to do anything for her? Should I do something for my bf? We seem to be in the same/opposite predicaments....we can help each other! :Þ

Valentines day was developed by the cholcolate companies and the flower people... good marketing on their part. BUT... if you feel quilty for not doing anything.. make her a card. Says more than a store bought.

Depends on if you want to get laid or not. LOL.

Would guess that your g/f is still secretly hoping that you'll do something, regardless of what she said.

It's corporate hooey. Total pro-couplehood propaganda. It should be avoided at all costs.
