I want to know my bodys level of calcium. A birth control option called Depo provera can deplete the bodies calcium levels which are found to be unreplacable.. I want to see how I would go about finding out if I may be in some danger. In the last 2yrs my teeth have been just literally falling apart and my dentist wont make the connection, and I want to find out on my own. Yet my physician will be reluctant to, since it will be her mistake for over prescribing a drug that I clearly should have stopped taking much sooner.
So what test can check for body calcium..
I hope that makes my question clearer.

do you mean a bone mineral density test to check for osteoporosis?

There are two sorts that I know about.
1) A sort of x-ray of the heel bone - they can tell how dense you bones are that way.
2) a dexa scan - sort of x-ray of hips and spine - checks bone density.

Both procedures are quick and painless.
