What you said isn't strictly true. The real roots of the modern Arab-Israeli conflict only go back about 80 years....to the British Balfour Declaration during WW1 where they promised the same land to a lot of different people for support during the war. They then gave it to no one,...and after Jews and Muslims, together, commited acts of terrorism against them, they left. The Jews and Muslims were then left to fight one another.

Historically, most Muslim nations treated Jews better then Christians did. This isn't true everywhere. The Saudis were always cruel, intolerant, and ignorant. Not much has changed...now they drive Mercedes instead of camels.

I think the fighting will end when the west's reliance on oil lessens. Much of the radicalism in the refugee camps is fueled by the Saudis and Iran. When they have less cash, there will be less radicalism.

The Palestinians will be the first arabs to become a western styled Democracy. They are the best educated, most trade based, and most western of the arab societies. They are also the most secular. That is why the other Arab countries are so terrified of them. They are a challenge to those nation's values.

When that happens, there will be compromise between two western styled governments. Until The refugees have a stable Government, that represents the will of the people, you can;t compromise, because you don't know what Government will exist next week.

That's why the US backs Egypt so heavily. They have a dictatorship that lives by its agree, ments with Israel, but the nation's majority, and religious leadership, is more fundamentalist and extremist then the govenrment there. If that Government falls, Israel faces a radical Egypt.

Well if your home was stolen would you not fight for it to be returned to you? I'm sure you would. Could you stand by and watch others occupy your home? Could you accept water and other amenities being limited to your people will others have it in abundance? Justice is all that is wanted nothing more.
