Why do you believe this?
And to those of you who think that it is NOT OK,why do you believe this?
Is it a "choice",or are people born this way?
( Please,do not give answers like-
"Have you even READ Rom. 1?!?!?"
"Well....the Bible/my parents/my wife/my pastor says...."
I would like to know why YOU believe what you believe.)

What possible reason would there be for a 10 year old (which is when the majority of homosexuals learn they are attracted to the same sex) to CHOOSE a life style that is more difficult, discriminated against, likely to cause alienation from their friends and family, and limit their ability to have children????

Who would CHOSE that at the age of 10????

Did you CHOOSE to be a heterosexual?

Use your dang brain for heaven's sakes.

Well many Christians are under the mistaken assumption that it's a choice... it's what their pastors preach, it's what their literature (comics, apologists websites, etc.) claim as well...

The truth is far more decided. Neurologists have known for a long time that homosexuality is not a choice, because there are visible and unmistakable differences in the brain.

You may know that men and women are wired entirely differently (for example the corpus callosum is much bigger and more intricate in women than in men)... Well gay men have brains virtually identical to a woman's brain and lesbians have man brains. If you know the differences in body language between men and women (how gestures are different, how they sit, how they stand, etc.) you'll notice gay men use feminine body language and so on.

Neuro-scientists have demonstrated this information time and time again and it's been published but for some reason doesn't get to the christian majority - maybe they're too busy reading the ignorant garbage fed on them. It is a known, and irrefutable fact that homosexuality is not a choice and is in the brain - but christians don't often know this.

If you're a christian I just hope you realize that they have no "choice" in the matter and I urge you not to be intolerant or hateful of them. I have a gay friend who is harassed constantly.

I do not because it says it in the bible that if you practice this that you will never go to heaven.I believe this because of the kind of person I am.I would never associate with them or even be there friend because what there practicing is the devils work.I also believe that you are not born this way at all,I also believe that you do have a choice to chose if you are homo/bisexuality.You need to stay away from people that are this way.I can not say that you are not a good person. But if you continue to chose this lifestyle you will not go to heaven. You will unfortunately go to the other place you only have your self to blame for this. You can not blame other people for you being gay.I also think that you should take responsible for this action.I you don't I fell sorry for you.Well good luck to you .

It's hard to answer a question when we remove what the Bible says about it. We are just working with our relative answers which will always lead to problems with out any resolutions.

I would say that it is wrong because it works against a natural order of things. I think, and I think that Bible fleshes this out, that there is a natural order to things. What culture thinks that stealing is ok?

Even Darwin would have to say that this does nothing for evolution. If all men loved men and women to women we would cease to exist. Reproduction would become strictly a science thing.

I think that in all of us there is a natural order and the natural order moves us towards the opposite sex. Do I think that there can be a chemical issue within people that would push them towards homosexuality, yes. Do I think for some it is a choice? Yes! There are many reasons for doing what we do that we can't just limit it to one or another reason.

Whatever prejudice the ancient Jews and early Christians might have had against people who are predisposed to be attracted romantically and sexually to members of their own gender or both genders, I cannot escape the fact that homosexuality harms no one. Not a soul. To oppress someone who has done no harm to anyone is immoral.

I cannot pinpoint the precise year, month, day, minute, and second that I chose to become a heterosexual, because no such moment ever existed. I was born with a predisposition to heterosexuality. I have no reason to believe that my homosexual and bisexual brothers and sisters were given a choice that I was not.

no longer something interior the Bible says that homosexuality is a sin or homosexuality often, just about having gay intercourse. And being Christian, do you quite think of that God would p.c. you to bypass judgement onto others for being themselves. i've got constantly believed that Christianity relies around love and acceptance, yet i think some human beings are basically too crammed with hate and prejudice to incredibly see all and sundry as equivalent human beings deserving of the comparable love all and sundry gets. each thing interior the Bible should not be taken actually. I doubt that it grew to become into written as a collection of strict rules, yet greater as rules for all Christians to locate their very own form of religion. additionally, what makes human beings think of the Bible is God's word? that's different from God wrote the Bible. If God mentioned that homosexuality is misguided, then why did he create it? It does not is clever that a god would create something they hate basically to throw it in hell. I refuse to have self belief in any such god. i think that God made me the way i'm for a reason, and that i'm specific he loves me for it. i could care much less related to the heaven and hell stuff, yet once you will could be ignorant to get into heaven then i'd extremely be in hell with all my acquaintances. I refuse to stay my existence under the guidelines of a few previous e book written via crusty previous adult men.

I don't think that homosexuality is the sin. In Sodom and Gomorrah the focus is always on the homosexuality but what if the real sin promiscuity? The Bible says that God created sex for marriage. Many would argue that homosexuals can't procreate so it is a sin but what about heterosexuals who are infertile? Is sex a sin for them as well? And I would remind them that in the Bible it also says God created sex for our pleasure. I have no problem with homosexuals or who they choose to sleep with. What is a bigger problem is all the people that are going around sleeping with anybody and everybody that to me is where the real sin is!

Well, being a Christian doesn't mean you'll be able to overcome all of your sins. I think being gay or bi is sometimes one of those sins that'll be very hard or even impossible to overcome. I don't think it's ok, but it's not horrible. Afterall, being gay isn't one of the seven things God says he hates.

And I agree that it's not a choice. It's not like you wake up one day and realize that you don't like boys and say, "I'm gay!" You just kind of know that you like girls more, or vice versa.
