Mikey ~
As much as I do not like Hopkins, in my opinion Shane would be two small for Bernard and that is exactly he would lose. Bernard has called out smaller guys in the twilight of his career somehow in thinking that if he beats up on blown up welterweights and Jr. Middles he can continue to run his mouth about how great he is.
Shane is so fast and when he plants himself he gets great leverage on his punches and he has decent punching power, but not enough at middleweight. Bernard would hold the smaller Mosley anytime Mosely got past his jab and lean on the Shane. Shane has always had problems with taller and naturally bigger men similar to what happened to him against Forrest.
I don't think that Hopkins possessed one punch knockout power so I really don't think he can knock Shane out, but Bernard would make this his usual boring fight and win a very boring, very dull 12 round decision.
Thanks for the question Mikey.

Mosley in my opinion, has more skill Pound for Pound, but if the 2 were to meet at middle weight i would definetly have to give it to Hopkins. Like someone above me said, Shane is really quick and when he does plant his feet he can get some power, but if you watched his fight with Winky, he wasn't even comfortable at 154. I can imagine at 160 or so. If Hopkins went down to about 145 (hypothetically of course) then i would definetly give it to shane because of his quickness and he would be able to move out of the way of Hopkins power shots like the guy above me said also, Hopkins wasn't known for having too much power, but i think it would be enough to take Shane at middleweight. At middleweight i see Shane losing some of that quickness in order to gain weight and not having as much agility and speed. Therefore taking away his only advantage against Hopkins. I see Hopkins at Middle, A very close fight at 154, and Shane at Welter.

If that fight ever happens bet the farm on Hopkins by KO in the late rounds Mosley is a good little fighter but Hopkins is a great big fighter I was watching Mosley last fight and in the interview he said that he was reengergized meaning he has something big on his plate this fight could happen

Shane is too small to take on B Hop, even at Middle. The only way this could possibly happen is if Hopkins moved back to Middle, and Shane moved up. This could potentially pose a problem for Hopkins. At the moment, he fights at 175. With Mackie Shilstone's help, he was able to put 15 pounds of muscle on. It's all very well and good putting it on, but how would he be able to take it off healthily?
I think Hopkins, given his age, may struggle to strain himself down to 160 again, and may even come in a few pounds over the Middleweight limit, and because of this, would be a little out of sorts for this fight. I don't feel Mosely would have any such problems, as he would be the one moving up in weight (albeit two weight classes).
A fully fit Hopkins doesn't have one punch knockout power, and I don't think even a strong Hopkins would knock out Mosely anyway. Maybe he could catch him and put him down once, but not knock him out. Therefore, I feel a weight drained Hopkins would struggle greatly to impose his size on Mosely.
Shane would have to use his superior speed, and impress the judges with combos. If Hopkins comes into this one fit, I would give it 8 rounds to 3 in favour of Hopkins, with perhaps a tied early round, where the two feel each other out. But if Hopkins comes into the fight weight drained, then I think Hopkins could still win, but not by much. Weight drained Hopkins vs In shape Mosely: Maybe 7 rounds to 5 in favour of Hopkins.

I love Shane but do you realize B. Hop is about 6'2 and Shane probably a legit 5'8. Shane could not make the proper adjustments with Vernon Forrest. Not only that look what Hop did to Oscar? Hopkins by TKO in the 11th!

Mosley pure foot/hand speed wise is a better fighter than Hopkins, and I think more talented, physically. But he doesn't have B Hop's patience and know how in the ring and that is the difference in this match up. Hopkins takes an easy UD in this match.
Santana, my friend and respectfully, Hopkins I believe is a better fighter than you give him credit for. There are many fighters who have attempted or won the middleweight title after moving up from welter or jr. mid. A couple of examples: Monzon beat Napoles; Hagler beat Duran, Mugabi, This doesn't lessen these two fighters greatness in my opinion because they fought and defended their title successfully against fighters moving up in weight. Another point in many of Hopkins title defenses he came in WELL under the middleweight limit, preferring to fight at 155 to 157lbs.

Shane's too small, Hopkins would walk him down. Look what happened to Shane against Vernon Forrest.

Got much love for Sugar Shane, and btw, great fight against Collazo but I got much more for BHOP. Besides the major weight advantage, I still think Bhop out slicks him by a good bit. Think about it, when have you ever seen Bhop get beat bad. I seen Shane get beat by Winky pretty good. Bhop has never got embarrased, not even by RJJ in Roys prime. Is everyone for the BHOP comeback?

I'd give it to hopkins. The only way this fight happens is if Mosely comes up to atleast 160 where I don't believe he'll be comfortable enough to take the executioner.

I would have to side with Bhop. He is the bigger fighter and has more strength. Plus he is more dirty on the inside. Gives him the edge.
