Do you mean like earache??
if not it could be an infection,i suffer from ear infections alot,do you use cotton buds in your ears, your not supposed to put them right inside as it can damage your ear drum and actually push wax further inside.make an appointment with your doctor as soon as possible and try heating up a hot water bottle and hold against your ear to ease the pain when going to sleep and take some painkillers.

Ear infection, water in the ear or something else.

I have a plan of attack, try blowdrying your ear with your hairdryer. I used to have chronic ear aches everytime my ears got wet. Avoid dunking your head under bath water, sleeping with wet hair and if you swim either wear water tight earplugs or blow dry your ears.

If the drying doesn't help, please go to the doctor, I know someone who lost their hearing due to water in the ear troubles.
