It sounds like you may have what is called chronic appendicitis.

I had it for 7 years. Because it would flare up and then calm down, insurance wanted to rule out other possible diseases and put me through a barrage of tests, all of which came out negative. Finally a surgeon decided enough tests had been run and he was going to remove my appendix. He also did a laparoscopy to make sure that none of my other organs had been damaged due to having the appendicitis for so long. When they ran toxicology reports on my appendix after the surgery, the reports came back with high levels of toxicity and the doctor told me that had it burst I wouldn't have survived.

Be sure to go to your doctor and insist on a through examination.

You do not have appendicitis, if you did you would be in severe pain and would find yourself going to the nearest hospital. Unattended appendicitis leads to peritonitis, which is a rupture of the appendix. This is a life threatening condition when that happens.

Chances are you get occasional trapped gas and that is what causes the dull pain you experience every once in a while. If you are concerned you need to go to a doctor and have it checked out properly. Good luck to you!

I have the same problem about every 6 months, sometimes sooner. I'm 25 and it's been happening for about 2 and a half years. I have been to the doctor and they said it is gallbladder attacks. It happens when you eat certain foods that cause your gallbladder to excrete fluid. The fluid is what causes the pain. In my case sometimes the pain is quite severe and I need painkillers. I have consulted with a surgeon and he says that unless I'm begging him to take my gallbladder out that I should not do it. I've decided mild attacks every 6 months or so are something I can live with at least for the time being. You should definitely see a doctor to see how severe your situation is and to find out whether or not you should have surgery. They also let you know what foods to avoid to help keep the attacks down.

My armchair diagnosis is that you have an ovarian cyst with a twisted pedicle. A pedicle is a thin stem connecting cyst to ovary, and when it twists it causes pain.

Another possibility is a Meckel's diverticulum lined with stomach (gastric) tissue. Occurs in about 2% of population.

Recurrent appendicitis is thought to be rare. You might have an appendix that is behind the cecum. Symptoms are less typical than with the usual attack of appendicitis. Again, an unlikely scenario.

See your doc. He or she might recommend an abdominal/pelvic ultrasound, a non-invasive diagnostic procedure. Good luck.

Go to a doctor to have it checked, constant appendicitis can be dangerous and don't worry you don't need your appendix. I had mine out at 5 years of age. It was diseased and started to rot.
Your friend is right cancer only causes pain in the last stages and it wouldn't come and go. Get rid of it before it gets infected.

It sounds similar to an appendicitis, but it should be a sharper pain. I would get to a doctor. If it is the appendix, it could rupture at any time, and that could kill you if you do not get to a hospital in time to get it removed.

It is probably IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) instead of your appendix if it was your appendix it would not go away. Either way you need to see the doctor it could be a number of different things some may even become life threatening if left untreated.

I doubt that's what it is. Go get checked out. It sounds as though you may have a cyst on your ovary. That happened to me. If it is your appendix, you'll need to get it removed right away. That can be very serious...even deadly.

Girl, please see your family doctor, it could be an ovarian cyst, or fallopian tube cyst, appendicitis and or cancer. Go to the doctor tomorrow, I better hear from you tomorrow let us know what he said and how you are feeling.
Good luck

You should have it checked out because if your appendics rupture you could die.
