With all the evil, terrible things that happen in the world, rape, murder, child molesting, arson, war, how many people believe that this is all part of the devils grand plan to destroy mankind, or at least let him destroy himself, I admit that there are many wonderful things that go on in the world, but there are also many, many bad, evil things as well.

Yes, there is a devil and he knows his time is short! He knows that Christ will bind him soon! He knows that he only has a certain amount of time to deceive mankind. Even he knows the Lord exists and is in fearful expectation of the fate that awaits him!

Lucifer, as one of God's mightiest spiritual creations, was given great position and authority.
Ez.28:12-15
12 Son of man take up a lamentation upon the king of Tyre and say unto him, "The Lord GOD says; 'You are the ultimate; full of wisdom and perfect in beauty.
13 You have been in Eden the garden of God. Every precious stone was your covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold. The workmanship of your sockets and of settings was prepared in day that you were created.
14 You are the anointed cherub that covers God's throne; I set you so. You were on the holy mountain of God, you walked up and down on the pavement of the stones of fire.
15 You were perfect in your ways from the day that you were created, until lawlessness was found in you.'"
But, after an unrevealed amount of time, Lucifer grew vain and dissatisfied with what God had given him. He wanted more.
Isa. 14:12-14
12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! [how] art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
13 You have said in your heart, "I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars (angels) of God. I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the far north:

All the bad things you see around you as well as all the good things you see around you come directly from Man. Man/Woman are capable of some of the most beautiful things as well as the most atrocious acts towards one another...but nothing evil comes from the Devil just as nothing good comes from God. The Devil was made up to keep ppl in line with the fear of punishment. God was also made up to keep ppl in line with the idea of rewards in Heaven...both bullsh*t stories, but with very negative and real effects.
