well kitty i'm on this earth because my parents gave birth to me. i eat, sleep etc because they're physiological needs.

Its a case of some people never growing up so looking for an adult to tell them what to do. In the case of religion, its the adult humans looking to a god to tell them what to do because they don't want to make the decisions on their own.

In the days of the Spanish Inquistion, yes. There would have been cases like Stockholm Syndrome.

Now, no. Unless, you get captured by Muslim radicals.

So, no religion is not a mass case of Stockholm Syndrome.

Question why are you alive? Why are you on this earth? Why do you eat breath and sleep? That is religion.

There is a book called "The god part of the brain" in which the author explores a theory that we are all "hard wired" to believe in god. That the belief in a god was something humans developed during the evolution process for the purpose of keeping us sane, since we are aware of our own mortality.

If you mean like how Christians love and want to be with an evil god who allows pain to come to them without stopping it and threatens them with hell then yes.

we have weight and form ,we have quality but we can make our way and wake or running it depend on us,.If you let others to lead you using their mysterious inventions , usually you will believe in anything and you'll have to follow the rule of our cognitive rate disorders.
