again it amazes that someone has a medical question to which the answer is clearly:

TAKE THE DOG TO THE VET.

You need to find the source of the problem. What's causing the dog to limp? Did she get a leg, hip, shoulder, or paw injury? Does she have arthritis? Or is it something else? Take her to the vet to determine the cause of her limping.

Once you have the cause, your vet might recommend something as simple as pain-killers for your dog's limp. Or it might end up being more serious, and perhaps she has a broken leg and needs a cast. Some dogs may have had a serious injury in the past that has caused their walking to be permanently impaired.

It really depends on why the dog is limping. Is it an injured paw? Something simple or did it just pop up one day and you have no idea what happened. Either way, I think a trip to the vet is in order.

Find out why your dog is limping and either treat the problem or take him to the vet. You might start by checking your dog's feet for cuts or burrs.

Good luck!

Certainly don't try to force the dog to walk. If it's limping, it's in pain. Take it to a vet.

Dogs don't limp for no reason, take him to the vet and see what is wrong with him.

If this is related to arthritis in the rear legs, you can assist him in walking by placing a towel under his belly by his back legs and using it as a sling to support some of his weight. He should see a vet so they can prescribe an appropriate medication, asprin has many complications (bleeding disorders, stomach ulcers, liver damage) and doesnt even work that well for pain in dogs.

If the dog is older & arthritic,,Buffered aspirin with food ONLY but,,consult a vet as to how much according to body weight.I used to give even less than what the vet recommended,,it was really helpful. But,,there may be another reason he is limping.A sprain,,hip trouble,,a snagged nail or nails that need a trim,,another injury of some sort.

if ur dog is limping there is this great medicine called glucosamine. It strengthens the dogs joints. The dog version is pretty much the same as the human version. Ask your vet before u start giving him it tho.

I really hope your dog gets better.

Don't Make your dog walk that much and if he/she really needs to just carry the dog so they don't make it worse. You should really just take it to the vet..
