guys.. your advice please.. if your gf was from another country, didn't have any real close friends, really loved her, would you listen to your gf talk about issues resulting from a prevous bad relationship? Would you want to hear about it at all or is that what her girlfriends are for??

I wouldn't want to hear all of the details. Your relationship with your new boyfriend should be between you two. Not between you two and your old boyfriend. So keep him out of it unless he asks. But if you talk about it too much it seems like you're not over him, and you don't like your new boyfriend as much. Try to create new memories with your boyfriend.

Put yourself in her shoes, you are the closest friend she has. If you are serious about your relationship with her, start thinking about things that will take her mind off of her past relationships and concentrate on her new one with you. Have you brought her flowers when you go to see her? Have you told her you love her. Remember women need to here the words. Don't expect them to take the hint through your actions. Trust me the flowers and a sincere "I love you" will make a big difference in your relationship.

No, that should not be brought up with him. You can talk about all kinds of other issues, just not previous relationships. We see that as "baggage."
