This guy I work with asked me out a week ago and I keep coming up with excuses to change the date. I do like him but Im scared he wont like me when he gets to know me. Im very self consious. Also my dad is really strict and I dont know how to tell him I have a date. I usually dont tell him but this guy wants to pick me up. Help!

Tell this co-worker you may have an issue with your Father that needs to be resolved first.Tell him that you are a bit fearful on what your Father may say. (honesty) Maybe the co-worker and you can come up with some positive ideas that your Father may appreciate and in doing so, you will build some self-esteem. Next, sit down with your Father and tell him how you feel, tell him all about the person you would like to go out with.(honesty) Tell your Father what you plan to do on your date. Above all, don't hide anything from these gentlemen. Look them in the eye as you speak the truth. In doing this you will gain respect, caricature and honor. Things that will take you far in any of your endeavors.

Never go out with a guy whom you work with. If things don't go well you don't want to see him again. Fact is that either one of you will have to leave the working place and believe me in these cases it's usually the girl who suffers, guys wouldn't care.. Do you want to change work for such excuses??

you shouldn't be afraid of the date he asked you out why do you feel so self consious you have to go out with him and be yourself if you don't go its probably going to be something you are going to regret this for the rest of your life and just be confident about yourself he asked you out so their must be something he likes about you and as for your father tell him that you're going with a co-worker to dinner i mean you are allowed to date are you. talk to youre mom about this date and about what you will be doing so she could cool over things with youre dad.both will be at peace of mind that you are trust worthy and honest about the date(even though your not it dosent really matter to me.)and if that dosent work explain to your date that your parents won't let you.(he would probably understand that you're parents are overprotective or strict)thats all the advise i could give you good luck:)

You need to be you and if he doesn't like you after he gets to know you, then he wasn't worth the time you spent on fixin your hair. And as far as your dad goes, tell him how strict he is and just tell him for now you think it would be best if you two can meet somewhere.

Yea just let him know that you want to meet somewhere and that will also take the pressure of alittle on you just be yourself if he likes you for who YOU are then it will work out dont try to be someone else because you will always be someonelse and not you dont worry im sure you will be fine good luck :]

well if this is a guy met you at work you maybe old enough to date. in that case tell your dad to mind his own business. go out and have fun. think of him as a friend your going out with. if he liked you enoough to ask you out then he must know you a little so go out and have fun. as for your dad, maybe he needs a date night...don't lie to him but just be striaght forward and tell him your going out.. whats he going to do, lock you in your room?

Well I think you should go for it. If you don't you are always gonna hold back and if you never take a chance you are always gonna have that thought of what would of happened if I would went for it. About your dad tell him he is gonna have to except that one day you are going to find that right man for you.

He won't like you if you don't like you..confidence is sexy and gets you what you want..insecurity will only lead to somebody taking advantage..so believe in yourself, hold your chin up and decide on a date..tell yourself you're a strong, confident, sexy child of God!
Oh and talk to your Dad.
