I don't think I would give my child Silk, just out of personal choice. Silk is a relatively new product. We really don't know how good/bad it can be for us. To much soy is a BAD thing.

Did you okay this with her pediatrician? Soy milk is not meant to be used for babies formula.
Stop the silk, give her pedialyte until the diarrhea goes away and call the doctor.

With a 19 month old I'd go to a doctor real soon. Does she have to have soy milk or can she drink whole milk? At 19 months she should be beginning to eat baby foods any way. Soy milk has been around for a long time, my son had to be on it in 1968, because he was allergic to whole milk.

I don't think silk is the best option for your child right now unless he/she is allergic to regular milk. My doctor told me that up to 2-3 years a child should drink whole milk to get all the nutrients ect. Perhaps you should call the pediatricion or take your child to the hospital

Soy is a bean. Too much will mess with your intestines. Why is she on Silk? Dairy allergy? or just because you want her to be on it? Talk with your ped. There are other ways for her to get calcium, if you can not find a "milk" that she can tolerate.

A lot of people have soy allergies and have that reaction to SIlk milk. Check with your pediatrician.

Then discontinue the soy milk. She may be unable to digest the protein in soy milk. Is there any reason she cannot have cow, goat or rice milk? I'm afraid there's very little calcium and iron in rice milk and not much else.

There's no real substitute for real food, such as breast milk. It is designed to protect their immunity and inoculate the GI tract with good bacteria. Also if he has had antibiotics, they will terminate his good bacteria. No one can be healthy for long without a health intestinal flora. Candida yeast will normally ensue, toxifying the body, causing intestinal problems, skin rashes, thrush, diaper rashes, milk allergies, diarrhea, congestion, deafness and even neurological and glandular conditions. I know...I've been there. I have seen these first-hand, in myself, my children and my grand children.
The sugars in the formula probably stimulate the yeast activity.

sounds like a soy allergy, perhaps. Could you try her on rice milk? Its really easy and inexpensive to make at home. Lots of recipes on google. My daughter can only tolerate rice, no soy or wheat-she does fine on RAW cows milk, but no commercial dairy. Good luck.

Try giving her regular milk or if you don't drink regular milk try a different brand of soy milk. Maybe she just has a stomach bug that's making her sick. If it keeps up I would definitely call her pediatrician because you don't want her to get dehydrated!
