I'm getting married in 6 months (*YAY!*), and my fiance & I are thinking about signing up for a honeymoon registry site. Two that I have found & heard of through TheKnot.com are: TheBigDay.com and SendUsOff.com - both seem like legitimate sites, but I was hoping someone could give us your opinion(s) if you've used either of them personally or another honeymoon registry site. Open to suggestions!! Thanks in advance :)

TheKnot.com is a wedding planning website, which I've been using for the last 11 months...they do not do honeymoon registries...however, I did find that they mentioned HoneyLuna.com - anyone ever use this registry??

Here are some forums to check out. I can't write what all they have to say on this subject.

I personally am not using any of these websites, but offer this advice.

A lot of thos websites simply collect money from your guests. They send you a check for purchasing your honeymoon whenever you deadline is and then keep 15% or more as their collection free. Read the fine print carefully. I also know that some travel agencies such as Liberty Travel offer honeymoon registries and they do not take any percent for a collection fee (why would they, you are paying them all the money for your honeymoon!) I would definately go right through an agent.

Hey sorry but I haven't heard of any of these websites but I wanted to let you know that if you are going to a Sandals resort you can set up your honeymoon registry through weddingchannel.com. And it is definitely legitimate. That's what we did. Good Luck and Congrats!

I am registered with the bigday.com as well as theknot.com and i do know that they are pretty legite but i opted not to continue with it only becaue i wasnt too crazy about the percentage thing that they charge if someone does contribute so i decided to book with liberty travel and if anyone decided to contrubute all they have to do is speak to the person that booked my trip and no percentage is charged. Good luck!

I've also been using perfectweddingguide.com and brides.com. I haven't heard of sendusoff.com though. My favorite has been the ourweddingday.com (which is partnered w davids bridal) and all of these have links to registration sites (even honeymoon registrations) Congrats!

I checked out this website and seems a little more professional then the ones you mentioned. I think its a great idea for those who have everything else they need. but I also think its a good idea to register at one store to give people options.
