First of all, it's The Beatles, only one "t". Any fan of them would be appalled at that. And they are an amazing group. They revolutionized rock and roll with their original sound, starting in the 60s, when Paul and John first met in a club. They started singing together, and, as with most Brits, the accent kind of disappears when they sing because of proper vowel sounds and mouth positioning. They didn't FIND their own sound, they CREATED it by a combination of their musical genius and their uncanny talent for making songs that don't all sound the same, contrary to most bands nowadays. So, if you start spelling their name right, and research like crazy, you too can know all about The Beatles and their greatness.

It's actually spelled The Beatles... and they are important in the pop culture world because they created pop music and were the first band to ever become super famous around the world... and although they started out as somewhat of a boy band... that played bubble gum like songs, they ended revolutionizing the sound of Rock n' Roll, and made songs that touched on topics like peace, war, love, and other issues people deal with as humans. They influence all musicians in all genres of music

Are you doing a paper on them or something? They became famous because their music had a new sound to it. Singing and talking are very different, the accents didn't really come through very much in the singing. The Beatles have sold more records (by Far) than any other recording artist, and are considered one of the best bands ever. I like um.too...

OMG the greatest band ever...period ,end of story. They started playing together when they were 14(about 1959) years old in Liverpool England.None of them knew how to read music. They would get American records from the ships that came in and practice them over and over. They eventually got gigs in Hamburg ,Germany ,but later were deported when they found out George was only 17.They played clubs around Liverpool until Brian Epstein heard them and became their manager. When they were at an airport in London and fans were screaming for them ,Ed Sullivan happened to be there and thought they might work in America. So in 1964 John 21,Ringo 22,Paul 20 and George 19 hit it big and the rest is history.Pretty much John's drug use and Yoko's influence over him ,broke the band up in 1970.Every single album, every single song all hits no duds. Most bands put out albums with 3 hits and the rest fillers. All of their songs were good.Even the intended quirky ones.

The Beatles are the greatest band of the 1960s. They had their own sound and their own songs, there will never be another band just like them. Why do you say they had an accent? They were from England, if you are American in England you have an American accent. They were loved in Europe, America and around the world.

Who are the beattles?
You must mean The Beatles.
My dad remembers the whisper campaign that began before they got big. He said flyers started popping up everywhere, saying 'The Beatles are Coming' but no one knew who the heck The Beatles were. So, that peaked everyone's interest to start with. Just an interesting bit of info.
But, yeah, definitely an amazing band.

Their sound wasn't that unique at first; they were mostly just known for their energy, I think; they weren't considered that good until they went to Germany; there they played in to really tough crowds & honed their skills; then Brian Epstein helped them with their image; then they came to America at what turned out to be at just the right moment....and eventually they developed a truly unique sound because they were at the forefront of all that 60's stuff like...oh, pot, acid, interest in far eastern culture, etc. Plus they were just talented guys and trailblazers.
But I have a question for you..why would their accent stop them from singing???

I think the Beatles are one of the most important musical groups to ever make music! They were truely original... they played their own instruments and wrote their own music. I don't think anyone can compare to the Beatles they are unlike any other group before and since their fame. I think they really came into their own in the late 60's and 70's when they started with their expierimenting.

The Beatles* is and will always be a pop-culture phenomenon, they were daring in the way that they had their own style, music (no 2 songs sond the same). they didnt follow "society standards". that is why they are the greatest band ever. PERIOD.
