Ok I have a question.

I am a college student that doesn't have Office 2003 on her computer because it doesn't work anymore, and I'm taking an advanced class about Office 2003. I'm tired of going out in the lobby or library to do my homework but it costs over a hundred bucks to purchase Office 2003.

Also I am taking a class in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Indesign.

Would you buy those just to do your homework at home?

Suggestions?

Most likely I would go ahead and get Office; it is very useful even outside of homework. As for Photoshop and so on, yes, we have bought it, and yes it's neat and powerful as heck, but yep it's *very* expensive, so if it's *just* for homework and you're not planning on being a pro photographer and learning and studying and pursuing the deep dark depths of years of work of Photoshop (it has lots of them) then it's probably not worth the heavy price..

The convenience of being able to do your homework in your underwear at 3 am instead of packing up your stuff, heading to the library, looking for a free computer and hoping those around you are politely quiet enough for you to concentrate. It's worth the investment to me. Especially since you will use it beyond the term of your class.

Check the University bookstore for an Academic version..might be a cheaper price than $100.

Go to your college book store. I know most have student editions of these programs that are much cheaper than buying them at Best Buy etc...

It's the same program but says something along the lines of student edition/copy behind the title. If you can't find it at your school try calling other ones. I think Lee College had Photoshop.

You can, also, get some editions of PS for $50 which isn't that bad of a price.

You can install "Open Office" (free) to edit your Microsoft office files at home. http://www.openoffice.org/

Buy Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Indesign if you can afford it.

if you don't have the money just keep doing like your doing, it shouldn't be too much longer.
