Once in a while (about every other month or so) I will start feeling horrible; I get chills and start to sweat all over. Then, after a few minutes I will feel very weak and nauseous. I usually go lay down and about a half hour later I feel my abdomen tighten up. It’s always on the left side, below my rib cage. It feels like its being twisted. Then I actually Hear and Feel the bowl unjam. Within the next hour I have a regular BM and feel fine. Is it normal to get this kind of "bottle neck" feeling in your intestines?

I have a sensitivity to chemical foods such as cool whip, cheese whiz, and certain american cheese slices and certain dairy products. I get the same thing when I eat some of the above items. Your body is sensitive to something you ate. Whatever you ate immediately before is what caused it. Keep track of what it is and try to avoid those foods if possible. I usually fell that way within 10 minutes of eating something I'm sensitive to. It can also be brought on by stress.

I get that too. I have never went to the DR for it but pepto works or just letting it run its course.
