Yes, it was in Judaism, because, as is well known today (finally!), direct contact with blood can cause the spread of disease. God knew this back then, and that's why He made those rules for people to follow. Back then, their means of controlling a woman's monthly flow were primitive (usually just a rag) and did not keep a woman from leaving a mess everywhere.

it wasn't Judaism - they have the same creation and day stories as Christians - the old testament is the Torah
