In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Hahahaha! YES look at all the lame christians blasting you with "no you can't do it" Well **** those guys, I was forced to say the pledge of allegience and pray to god in school, I wish one of my teachers had offered other religions to choose from.
If prayer is let back in school (which I hope it stays far away), then yes you have the right to do such a thing (just make sure you have an awesome lawyer and you will be fine)!
You would deserve a raise for standing up to your principles! What school do you teach at? I am sending my kids there!

Yes it is, as much as the christains have raped and killed people for being non christain, and as bad as they talk about this devil guy, youd think the world wouldve realized by now if theres a god theres a huge chance its this angel lucifer. As his book doesnt talk bad about anyone, nor does it threaten you for doing "wrong", cause we all do. But it would be better to teach people self help, and hope, and values and morals during prayer time, as this is what religion was created for. Why did u ask this r they gonna bring it back to school? Did i miss the news flash?

I doubt you're being serious. Because I doubt a school would hire a vocal Satan worshipper. But stranger things have happened. Besides, prayer will not be allowed in school so thank god your students are safe. No ... not is not okay. And you should not be a teacher unless it's at a school with other knowing Satan worshippers. And even then ... that's just scary.

I don't think that's what they prayer activists had in mind. They weren't pushing for teaching all religions...just prayer in school, most likely to the God of Christianity.
I don't think many parents would go for that. Unless it was in a survey format and not totally trying to convert people.

Is it okay for me to teach your children how to worship God and devote their lives to Jesus Christ. I believe that we are all capable of making our own decisions however if you teaching them to worship Satan at an early age would be taking liberties with a immature mind. That's why religion can't be taught in a country where freedom of speech is allowed because people will teach their own crazy ideas.

the fact be stated that Christains are the only ones not allowed to pray in school, all others religions are still considered ok.
as a matter of fact, i read a news article last week, where a school has set up a room for muslim children to go pray at the appointed times of the religion, yet the christian students are not allowed. where's the justice in that? people are afraid of a religion that makes them responsible for their actions

As long as you stay away from the sacrificial blood orgies I don’t see any problem with it. Really, no religion is allowed to break the law so what is the difference? I don’t think Satan had anything to do with all the people who have died in the name of God over the years. So who is evil?

Is see where you were trying to go, SP, but you fell short. Whether prayer is allowed in school has no relevance to what you teach your little hellcat ;-). Teach it whatever you like! When the Others pray their prayers, have little Mephisto pray its. What's the big deal?

i think in separation of church and state so a strategies as worshipping at college--public faculties. interior the previous whilst there grew to become into prayer in public college there have been too many people who had a topic with it, one exceedingly, the female atheist who grew to become into credited with ending it. Now there are a lot of folk interior the college equipment who prepare a lot of diverse religions, extremely than basically believers and atheists, i think attempting to accommodate all and sundry would reason too many issues. human beings can basically worship outdoors of faculty. this does not prepare to non-public shools nonetheless. They worship and prepare despite faith they are an part of and that i think of that's high-quality. related to theology instructions that teaches approximately religions without persuading scholars to p.c. one would be large, as long as they have been electives and not area of the mandatory curriculum. whether, many mom and father and a few scholars would have a topic with the instructions being obtainable. yet getting to grasp approximately diverse religions could help in making adolescents greater understanding of diverse cultures.
