said to myself that it didnt matter if it was a boy or a girl as long as they were healthy. after we had the two boys, i sort of felt thankful that we had boys since i never have really understood women. i sort of think it is a nice gift that i will not have to figure out how to raise a daughter and just have to figure out how to raise a son. is this bad to be thankful to God for having sons after they were born?

Not wrong at all. You got really lucky. I would be scared shitless 24/7 if I had a girl.

No-you have two great little boys, why be guilty. I am so... releived I guess that I had a son. I have always had guy friends and to some degree have been a tomboy. I love to play trucks and kitchen and be rough and tumble-versus Barbie and Bratz! To me a son is easier than a daughter judging by freinds children. I have two sweet step girls that are older-my husband says all the time that he is thrilled to finally have a boy but our son is so much more work! To me, started with an active boy, adjusted to an active boy! Frankly more people should appreciate the children they have-life would be better for everyone.

boys girls it does not matter, children are a blessing from God. I dont see the reason why everybody is talking like having a girl is such an awful thing. Boys can be as much trouble as girls can. Boys can get girls pregnant, and a whole lot more. Not all kids are going to walk the path that you set out for them some of them will disappoint you wether its a boy or a girl. So instead of being thankful that you got two boys be thankful that you got two healthy children and pray that they grow to love and fear God and walk in his way and love them unconditionally.

I felt guilty about it, but while I was pregnant, I was secretly hoping I'd have a girl. Not like obsessively praying every night about it or anything, just deep down that's what I really wanted. Obviously, I'm sure I'd love a boy just as much as I do my daughter. But yes, I am VERY thankful that I have my beautiful little girl!

I had two boys and a girl. My daughter is my best friend. My boys were each others best friend. But then we lost my older son. Be thankful for what you have.

In the morning prayer for Jews, one of the prayers is

I thank you God that I was not born a woman.

I suspect women pray the same prayer about men.

The key is to be grateful for the children you have, love them and teach them and help them grow strong and happy.

why would it be bad to be thankful for having 2 sons?

look at it this way (i sure do) now you only have 2 penises to worry about instead of a whole community worth of penises to worry about.
