You don't have to have a fondue pot, but it does look nice on the table. If you melt chocolate on the stove, just make sure it is not in a pot directly on the burner. Fill a larger pot about 1/2 full with water then place a smaller pot or stainless steel bowl with the chocolate in it over the larger pot so that it touches the water. Heating over water makes sure that the chocolate won't burn. Add whatever extract you like. I like pure vanilla extract with dark chocolate. A little extract goes a long way. You can dip strawberries, pretzels, sponge cake, marshmallows, or whatever you like.

CHOCOLATE FONDUE

1 can chocolate fudge frosting
Marshmallow creme
Orange peel, dried
Orange extract
Chocolate chips

Over low burner heat melt the frosting, 1/2 bag chocolate chips and 4 tablespoons marshmallow creme until smooth. Add 2 teaspoons dried orange peel and 2 teaspoons orange extract.
Keep warm in fondue pot or small crock. Serve with any or all of the following to be dipped into the chocolate:

Cubed angel food cake or pound cake, short bread cookies, mandarin orange slices, sliced bananas, whole walnuts or almonds, cherries.

Hope this helps..
