Like Steph said there is no such thing as a Public health record. Think how that even sounds. As much paper U have to sign for HIPPA privacy act from to protect UR privacy, there is not a public record of health department. U can get Ur records, they R yours all U have to do is go get them (call 1st, they have 2 make copies ) Or if you have moved, request in writing from your old doctors, hospitals, clinics any place U have been in for medical reasons. You will have to sign HIPPA's release of information document but that's to protect U. Hope this gives U somethings to think about.

There is no such thing as a "public" health record. All health records are kept strictly confidential. If you want to see your records you need to go to the clinic or hospital that keeps your records. Go to the medial records department and ask to see your records. Usually it helps to call ahead of time so it is ready when you get there and if you are looking for anything in particular tell them and they will make a photocopy of it for you to take with you. Also, if you have been treated at more than one place, chances are they will not have all of your records at one location unless you have previously asked them to have your records transferred.
