My Boxer was loosing its hair for while and had a few sores also. Mange usually runs from the neck down so if it doesnt do that its not mange so dont jump to the conclusion. My dog has skin allergies according to the veternarian. Take her to the vet, he or she will perscribe what you need. If the dog has extremely flaky skin to go along with this give the dog 200 IU of vitamin E once daily. You should wash it often with a conditioning shampoo to keep the dog clean and keep the dead skin from building up. It won't hurt the dog and will not make its hair fall out any more.

He has mange for sure, the doc will give him some panalog for it.

it could be ticks and fleas take him to the vet so they can give him meds, because this irritates the dog alot.
