I personally think so. I think there is something in everyone's life which continues to be an irritation even after they accept Christ. Like in Paul's case, it is there to keep them humble. It is the thing that makes them have to come back to God and deal with it everytime they get to thinking that they are handling things pretty well on their own. God did not promise to do away with these temptations, but with the temptation He will provide a way to avoid falling into it's clutches. But the thorn remains.

I saw this question yesterday. I don't understand, what does it mean? Like a thorn in your side? Please someone explain this to me, i have never heard this before yesterday.
