I changed cities for my job and need to find a new doctor. Nothing's wrong, I'm just looking for a new primary physician for physicals and whatnot. There's just so many places to look, I'm a little overwhelmed.

I would check with my insurance company for a list of approved providers, they usually provide a booklet, and most often it is found in the human resources office of your workplace... Then it is a matter of time, you need to call and set up appts to interview the doctors, It's time consuming, but worth it when you find a care provider that best matches your needs. Also ask your new co-workers who they use, everybody has an opinion the would love to share.

1. Ask your co-workers and their spouses or a neighbor that you have gotten to know.
2. Does your company have an electronic bulletin board? Ask there.
3. Many hospitals have lists of MD's on their medical staffs.
4. Look for board certification in Family Practice or Internal Medicine.
