My son LOVES to drink juice, milk, water. Everytime I turn around he asks me for something else to drink. Even if the last thing he drank was no more than half hour ago. I googled this question and I read that he might have diabetes or lupus. I have no idea if this is or isn't true. I'm going to call his ped today to schedule an appointment. My thing is that whenever he drinks too much, of course he ends up running to the bathroom or has an accident. Is he just being a kid or is it more than that?

I have heard that excessive drinking could be a sign on diabetes. My two year old is the same way, always seems thirsty. He doesn't show any other signs of diabetes and my doctor told me not to worry about it. Good luck

I think you should see the pediatrition just in case but, to answer the rest of your question, i think it is too much when they are using liquids as a substitute for food. My two year old LOVES juice. It wasn't a big deal until he wasn't eating much at lunch and dinner. We had to cut him off cold turkey. He still drinks water in between meals and has milk with meals but, juice is only for when he has a cold/fever.
