Dont generalize, i'm dating a muslim and i'm not, and he's quite tolerant of me, my religion and my lifestyle. He has never abused me in any way. Men from all cultures and religion abuse their women, so we cant single out muslims. There's plenty of christian groups out there that are not tolerant of other religions as well.
By now we should now not to generalize!!
But we must not forget about Timothy McVeigh, the unabomber etc, they were American born and bread and yet they still bombed their beloved country. So we should not just focus on muslim extremism, i'm sure there are plenty more people here in the U.S. american, non-muslim who have the same ideas as Timothy McVeigh. !!!
And if we go back further back to the crusades, everyone was killing everyone, not just muslims, christians were killing as well, if you were not christian....you were screwed, so if anything, all religions are guilty of not accepting others at one point in time.

Our friend who claims it has to do with education is wrong. Islam is going to be the next great evil of our generation. The Koran teaches that women are little more than property to men, so men can basically treat women however they wish. The Koran also teaches that during a Jihad (Holy war) it is the mission of every Muslim to convert infidels (all non-Muslims) to Islam. If any will not convert, it is the duty of that Muslim to kill them. Not even the Imams and the Koran scholars in the U.S. can debate this. The problem is we have a bunch of bleeding hearts who are trying to say that we can live in harmony with these people by preaching tolerance to Americans and giving Muslims more educational and economical opportunities. Dead wrong. The four men who flew the planes on 9/11 were all from upper-middle class to upper-class homes, they all had college degrees, and they were all well-traveled. Kind of shoots a gaping hole in that idea about education being the issue, doesn't it?

i really dont know where you're getting this from. Islam is the most peaceful and forgiving religion in the word. you cant judge a religion on its people. for example, i know many homosexual christians. does that mean that christianity supports homosexuality? of course not! so dont spead a lie avout islam. another thing, Islam treats its women and men fairly. (i am saying this as a muslim woman). whats makes you think the women are being abused? is it because they have some self respect and dont run around half-naked?

i do no longer comprehend why. I heard an interview of the Muslim cleric who prayed on the DNC for an end to "occupation" and "oppression." He replace into asked no count if he meant that the U. S. of oppression; he did no longer answer, yet went right into a rage. Now, the Muslims I certainly have familiar have been in contrast to this. they have been friendly and shared lots of my values; they needed a solid training for their daughter. yet then, they got here to the U. S. to get removed from the violence of their fatherland.

I enjoy reading the words of Jesus in the Qur'an and in the Bible especially pertaining to Loving one's enemies, and praying for those who persecute you. "And especially Do NOT Judge, Do Not Criticize, Do Not Condemn other people......How can you take the speck out of another's eye, when there is a Log in your own eye? You Hypocrite{actor, pretender !), first take the Logs, out of your own eyes, then you can see clearly enough to help take the speck out of another's eye! [Jesus' words, not mine] ! {Matthew 7:1-5 Amp.Bible)
Jesus spoke wise words of wisdom to live by, another example: He said, "Many will say to me on that day, but Lord, Lord, did I not to say this, and do this in Your Name {representing all that You are {the Greek Lexicon says), and He will say to those on that day, BEGONE, for I Never Knew you !!"
It is time that people, of any religion, or any Philosophy of Life they live by, stop riding the fence, stop being Lukewarm. You know what God says about Lukewarm believers.
Why do some people need Fear, to bring them to repentance ?
Simply live your Life in a Holy Way, and this lifestyle will draw others to Him. And this really applies to all people, of all religions as well.
"But attacking, judging, crititcizing, and condemning others, will not draw them in."
If we live a life which does NO Harm to another through the words we speak(or type), our actions(behavior), and as we simply try to help one another in life, even those that are different than we are, then we'll be one step closer to acquiring Peace of Mind, and Happiness.

Because in thier eyes, if you are non muslim, you are inferior. And women have a tendency to ask questions, which can be uncomfortable for them. More people have died in the name of religion (of all faiths) than any other cause. "Blinded by the light..." comes to mind.
