That is a big one and although you may not want to turn her in it is a crime. Your son will not like it but I think you have to protect him even though he does not want it. Being a parent is hard and this is one of those times when you need to be a parent and do what needs to be done even though it may not feel good. She is in her late 30's and should know better. She is using him for one thing and one thing only. Chances are that your son is not her first young encounter and unless she is stopped he won't be her last. I know that alot of 16 year old boys have sex all the time but not with a woman this age.......We are not talking 16 and 18 here! That is my opinion and that is what I would do if this were my son. Good luck to you!

Yes, you should definately call the cops. This is Statutaory Rape. There is no excuse for a 30 year old to have sex with a 16 year old. The irony here is that if it were the other way around, a 30 year old man with a 16 year old girl, nobody would have a second thought about call the police.

I don't think you should call the cops but you should talk to him about why it is wrong. How it disrespects both himself and his parents. I am sure the divorce' seduced him. If it doesn't end after that I would definitely call the police and file a complaint against the woman.

of course you should call the cops? he is only 16 years old, she is 30, that is rape. your the mom you have the right to stop all this and to make him stop what he is doing, if he was 18 that would be diffrent but he is just a kid, and that women should know, I would of gone over there and grapped his *** and called the cops right there, dont listen to the people who are saying dont, she could be doing this to other young kids, not just you son. good luck!

You. Need. Help.
Yes, you call the police. You see, your son is going to have to live with the outcome of this relationship for the rest of his life. That's why older people aren't supposed to take advantage of the ignorance of younger people. She's also DISGUSTING, as she's preying on a child for sex.
It's even worse that you don't know you should call the police. Here's the rule of thumb: when adults have sex with my children WHILE THEY ARE CHILDREN, I will call the police. I will call the police. I will call the police.
Now, call the police. Then, take your kid to the ER and get him tested for gonorrhea, chlamydia, warts, syphillis, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis, and anything else the doctor can think of.

do more investigating..talk to the neighbor too. See who initiated it...most likely SHE did..ha! Also, how good of a friend is she? R U close with her? There are a lot of factors to consider. I doubt that your son is going to cry "rape". He's a man now! U may be on the news if you call the cops haha...alot to think about. good luck

Well yes if it is against the law in your area for 16 year old then call the cops. She is way to old to be with someone who is just a child and he is enjoying the older adult attention. She needs to know it is NOT ok and he needs to see she is way to old for him. He needs to be a kid and you need to help him get back there.

No cops, just talk to the neighbor and your son, becuase cops wont resolve mucha dn it would just bring extra headahce on u and ou son, courts and testimonies, lawers that are not cheap and a l;ot of extra time, that i m pretty sure u don't have. so just talk to them, and tell you son u understadn that its onl in getting experiance and that he doesn't really have feeling for her, but there are other ways of finding someone to have sex with, and at his age, find a girl his age. and go out with her and then see where it leads.

As a mother i think you should. its illegal for a reason. she will never respect him and he will become her sex object and he will fall in love with her and then get his heart broken when she moves to the next. that's probably why she is divorced. when you try to break it off between them it will cause problems between you and your son. get a retraining order. good luck
