Currently, I have darkish-lightish brown hair, with thin but very bright blonde highlights. I'm looking to dye my hair blonde before the summer, but work my way to blonde by getting more blonde high lights every time, and also thicker. And when it's light enough, I'd like to do the whole platinum blonde thing.

Would this be the correct steps to work my way upto platinum blonde? If not, I would like some help on the right way to getting that color, without just one day going from brunette to blonde. Also, I'm going to do this before the summer, and maintaining blonde hair during the summer would be very useful. Thank you!

Consult a professional hair stylist. Going lighter is far more difficult to do correctly than a darker color and requires harsher chemicals. If you try to do it yourself you'll run the risk of severely damaging your hair.

I have always thought that platinum blonde makes a women look chaep. Go with a sandy or dirty blonde. That looks sexy.
