If you like vodka and club soda, try Effen black Vodka with soda. It's got a great subtle flavor to it.
In terms of weight gain, alchohol itself does not promote weight gain, it's typically the stuff you mix it with that can have adverse effects (i.e. Coke, Red Bull). Stick to something unmixed and ditch the cola. Try Bourbon on the rocks or a Martini.
On the other hand, alchohol can inhibit the body's natural ability to burn fat.
Moral of the story: beer doesn't give you the beer belly, but it doesn't help you burn it either.

I am on a program for fitness competition, and while I was told about diet cola and vodka, the best for me has been red wine. It has a great deal of antioxidants, and is good for your heart. By the way, long island iced tea is the alcoholic beverage with 1) the most alcohol in it and 2) the highest calorie content of mixed beverages..stay away from that!

I don't think there is one except like a lite beer. Liquor and beer has a lot of calories and carbs, and keep in mind that anything liquid is a "fake calorie" and isn't included in the food pyramid persay. So being a drinker can pack on some pounds. Maybe a bloody mary because you use V8 and vodka, but unfortunately there isn't too many, so if you do drink just don't drink a lot because liquor isn't fat free hun..

Depends on the kind of diet you are on. Vodka and Soda has no carbs. I buy flavored soda and drink it with vodka at home. Rum and diet coke is also carb free.

Alcohol contains a hell of a lot of energy.
You can drink smaller drinks, or drinks with less alcohol in, but at the end of the day you can't get around the basic fact that alcohol contains a lot of readily absorbable energy.
Dance like a whirling dervish - that way you can burn off what you drink.

Try vodka and diet tonic. That's what I drink when I want to pretend I'm losing weight.
