Our pup is in love with puppy daycare, the dog park, long walks etc...but I am wondering if too much activity in a day can be bad for his developing bones, joints and muscles?
he clearly slows down and rests when he feels like it, so I don't see any visible faults with it, but don't want to impeded his growth or cause problems for him later in life.
Can anyone shed light on this issue?

He's a boxer/Pomimo (pomeranian/eskimo) cross. He is not from a breeder or pet store. Two neighbors dogs got together and made babies - the parents are very healthy and well adjusted with no known hereditary issues.

If your dog knows when to calm down, then he is doing fine. As long as you don't think he is pushing it too hard. If you think he is getting tired and weak, take him home for a nap. Put on some quiet music and give him some water and a chew. This should quiet him down.
As you will continue to see, puppies are very energetic and will calm down with age. What you are doing for him is great! He will need to build strong muscles and good relationships with other dogs. Keep up the good work.
Also, if he does develop bad joints or bones, it is most likely a hereditary thing. If you got him from a breeder, kudos to you! You can contact the breeder and ask to see if there was anything in his bloodline. If you got him from a pet store, then hopefully this will be a lesson to you.

Running, playing, and exercise actually strengthens a puppy's bones and muscles, just like with human children. Exercise is very important to puppies because it helps add bone density and muscle strength. Exercise is great!
But be very careful not to let him get exhausted. Exhaustion is not good for puppies. Remember that even though he's young and active, he doesn't have near the amount of stamina that an adult dog has. Make sure he always has access to fresh water.

As long as he gets enough rest when he needs it there should be no developmental issues. It is important for growing animals to get their rest, but in the wild this is what dogs would do anyway. I think if you started to notice that he seemed exhausted for the rest of the night after you picked him up then you might have an issue. Actually, this is probably the best thing for him and I bet it will help him to be a better adjusted animal because he gets to expend all his extra energy.

Your puppy will know when he needs to take a rest, so I wouldn't worry too much. So long as you don't start any serious agility training, etc., or making sure that your puppy isn't jumping of high obstacles, etc., he should be fine.

Yes, they CAN get too much exercise. When my dog was a puppy, I would give her nap time in her crate on weekends if she was pushing herself too hard. Some dogs will not stop even when they need to. You might consider asking the doggy day care to give him some quite time in a room away from the others dogs for 30-45 mins twice a day.

You didn't name the breed, but he sounds like a healthy puppy to me. He won't be considered full-grown until he is 18 months old!!
As long as he has water, which is crucial when exercising, he needs to play!! Sounds like fun!! You will miss it when he starts taking naps back to back!! Have Fun and enjoy your Puppy!!

Forced exercise(jogging companion etc) can be bad for developing pups. Playtime where they choose to stop and go at will is no problem. I tired puppy is a good puppy. ;)

we have a saint bernard and we were told not to let him run to much or take long walks until after he was a year old. It can be bad for him if he gets too much excercise. What kind of pup do you have?

Puppies can never play enough and as long as he stops and rests (Or poops out!), he's fine.
Look at it this way - The more he plays at daycare and at the park, the more he sleeps at night because he's exhausted!
