All of that information is the same as it is for all police officers.

A "Bike Patrol Officer" is just a police officer who is assigned to use a bicycle instead of or in addition to a patrol car while on duty.

You have wrapped up several questions here. A "bike patrol officer" used to refer to a cop on a motorcycle, but now can also mean a cop on a bicycle. The environment depends largely on the patrol area. It can vary from a park patrol to a neighborhood patrol, in a bigger city. The personal skills required obviously have to be able to ride the assigned vehicle, and all other people skills that any officer would need. As to sites, to be relevant, they would have to be in the area which you reside in, so I'd try the various police agencies in your local. The salary range, is the same as a regular police officer, with the possibility of a specialty pay differential.
