Unfrozen, I am sorry. I too, probably not for the same reason as you, am an atypical Christian. I have been heckled, stalked and called names and told I was a heretic and a heathen by other (fundamentalist) Christians.
For whatever reason, God put thorns on our path. But please know, those thorns make us stronger. I would just stay away from talking about religion at work...unless you work at a church or religious organization...it does not belong at work.

Have you ever heard " you don't discuss religion and politics"? because people that do this don"t have a good foundation of these topics. I can see that you are a believer and that's beautiful, but I see that you have not done your home work about getting enough information. To be a Christian is much more then going to church and discussing religion. Being a Cristian is a way of life, where you are constantly growing. You must read a lot of different biblical comantaries from good theolagians. Once you get a good foundation about spiritual life you will find out that discousing religion does not help anybody onless you know what you are talking about. So what I mean is do not paractice religion, cultivate your speritual life, this is an indivitual practice betuin you and god. your spiritual life is unique, everybady has there own.

First of all what your boss is doing is completely unethical.
Secondly, I agree with you. Thou shalt not judge, after all. I'm not God. I have no authority to judge others or to say "You're going to hell" or "Your faith isn't what it should be" or any of the other numerous things many Christians do. I won't be sitting on that throne on judgement day. God isn't going to review MY notes about what someone else has done on Earth before making His decision. It's not my call. I leave it in God's hands.
I have a very strong personal faith. Personal faith is just that... it is personal. I do not regularly attend church but I have a closer personal relationship with God than some people I know who do. Yet I am judged. Church attendance does not equal how good or bad of a Christian you are.
Sorry for the rant. It's just that I do relate to what you are saying. The key is to have faith that you are doing what is right for you. God didn't make us all so different because He wanted us to be exactly the same. We all have different purposes and paths. You just have to find yours and then stand strong in knowing that you have found it.

Yeah, a lot of Christians bother me too. "Convert, or you'll go to hell", but I AM Christian *sigh*. Some Christians are a bit too judgemental, like you say, and I deal with that all the time. It's bothersome but I just consider it a "Lord, forgive them for they know not what they do" kind of situation. Some Christians seem to be judgemental because they cannot tolerate other views.

First let me qualify my answer to you by letting you know that I consider myself an agnostic; not by choice mind you as I dearly hope that their is a God and that my spirit will continue on when my corporeal form is no more.
That said; do not confuse the acts of a group of people with the overall belief system. People are like sheep in that they follow along blindly once they have set out on a path. I have run into both religious fanatics as well as evolution fanatics and just have to laugh at they way they think they actually "know" about life, man and every other thing (HGTTG). People want other people to agree with them in order to minimize their own self doubts. You see it everywhere; that is what the PC movement is in the world; pure rubbish, you know, jump on the bandwagon.
I would just try to stay out of anything personal at the office; I learned this many years ago. Don't associate with people from work and don't express your personal opinions as you are there to work and not to socialize.
Good Luck

Well for one, you shouldn't be discussing your religious, social or political beliefs with your boss if you don't actually know where they stand on them first and are not familiar enough with them to know how they respond to differences of opinions on those subjects. There's a reason why its suggested to simply keep these conversations out of the work place, you have friends, families and even chat rooms if need be to discuss such things. Once you've put that out there there's no undoing what people are to think of you and there lies your subjectivity to its consequences. Technically she has no right to punish you for them but given she is human and clearly as most people do believe what she thinks and believes in is most true and important, you are inevitably being punished for it. It may be time to look for a new job and new surroundings. If you want to be an open christian who follows religious practices to put your beliefs out there in hopes for acceptance or a following then you have to be willing to accept the consequences. Otherwise, search for a new job and at your new company please refrain from inviting them into your most sacred and personal beliefs. That's between you and God, its not necessary that everyone else gets on board with your personal salvation.

Somehow, I tend to believe there is much more to this story then you are telling. I work with many Christians and many non-Christians. We sometimes discuss our views, but they are never used as reasons to dislike, avoid, or terminate another person. If this woman is doing as you say, she is not a Christian despite what she professes. If you are working hard, doing the job that your employment requires, doing it well, you have nothing to worry about. Gossip is evil and will eventually cause the destruction of the perpetrator.

So help me to understand your question:
What you are you telling me is that every person you know is a christian? and that you have neven come into contact with anyone other than Christians?
So, everyone that has ever cared for you and told you things because they are trying to keep you from making the same mistakes they did have only been christians?............
and you mean to say that you don't know any buddist, jahovas witness, mormons, hindus, baptists, athiest or christ scientist?................who have given you any advise on life?
It has only been christians who bother you?
WOW........................................never heard that one before! congratulations!
I would suggest that you just not ask a christian what they think about the problems with you and your life.............maybe this way they won't but in.................
GOOD LUCK, now how old are you?

Document this woman's behavior and take such documentation to the personnel department where you work - keeping a copy for yourself. If you can prove this sort of misbehavior has cost your job, you can, in almost all 50 states, sue both the "boss" and the company for wrongful termination. In addition, religious harrassment on the job is illegal under FEDERAL law...

and Lucifer can come in many forms. Just cause they say they are Christians does not mean they are.
Read Revelations...it states that in the end days, many will scoff at the Lords word, many will try to lead you astray, many false prophets will come before you. I shall test you...but don't fret, keep your faith in me.
Its getting worse all around my man....dig in the heels and stand your ground. Lucifer is growing stronger by the day and gathering his army. Don't let the mountain crush you but stand up against the mountain with your head held high holding your light, the light of Jesus.
