Prevent him from sleeping at day time and try to let him know that it's better for him to sleep alone and it's not scary and only the brave and sweet boy sleeps alone.
Hope that will help u!

I am a nanny the best way i have found to make him go to sleep is to ignore him.
This is how you do it. Put your child in his bed but do not leave his room. Do not make eye contact with him or TALK to him (you have to ignore him). Sit in the middle of the room when he gets out of bed pick him up and put him back in his bed do this until he realizes nothing is going to change your mind about him going to bed. This will show that crying or asking for a drink or bedtime story isn't giong to change your mind. Repeat this each night and he will evetually get over it.
You may want your husband to do it first sometimes the moms don't last to long because they think they are being cruel, but the child will live trust me.

You have to be strong and CONSISTENT. If its not ok for him to sleep with you, then you HAVE TO GET UP and take him back to his own bed EVERY TIME! You dont have to lock him in or anything drastic, just be consistent.
This can cause a lot of sleep distubances for you, but in the end, its the ONLY way he will learn to stay in his own bed.
Maybe set aside snuggle time (but dont do it in your bed) so that he doesnt feel abandonned when he has to sleep alone.

Buy him a favorite stuffed toy and tell him he doesnt want Mr. whatever to be lonely at night, so he has to stay in his own bed. Or I also agree that no matter how hard it is, walk him back to his bed and tuck him back in. You might have to do that repeatedly for a few nights, but it should work. Thats what we did with our son, took about a week.

God, can i relate! I truthfully have 2 daughters who're 7 and eight years previous and that they nonetheless make it into my mattress now and back in the process the nighttime. perchance your daughter is annoying or is having undesirable desires? have you ever set down a mattress-time habitual? She could have something alongside the lines of this: time for supper, wind-down time (without the t.v., do quiet events like a puzzle or sport) bath time, pajamas, tale time and then sleepy time. even nonetheless she is barely 2 years previous, have you ever tried chatting along with her and reassuring her? Leaving a sprint nighttime-mild on or the door open slightly? now and back some little ones in trouble-free terms p.c. slightly convenience. attempt examining her a narrative in her mattress and lay along with her for a speedy time afterwards. generally they are going to be asleep interior quarter-hour after which you would be able to sneak out. If she wakes up interior the midst of the nighttime and includes then you basically return her to mattress and rub her back for a jiffy and he or she could float off back. sturdy success!

My son use to do that, and I stopped his naps during the day. Now he goes to bed a little earlier but doesnt wake up during the night - he sleeps straight through. That doesnt stop him from jumping on me in the morning, but now i get to sleep. :P

I haven't had that exact problem yet (and hope I don't). I'm still on trying to get my step-daughter to go to bed by herself. Once she goes to sleep, she sleeps through to morning. My husband or I have to lay down in her bed with her until she falls asleep.
