the Da Vinci Code is an opinion, and with everything that has come out of it i think its a plausable opinion. But no one will ever know what truely happened back in those days. Its all an opinion just as is all religion... its an opinion and "your" belief... what do you think happened...... thats what makes books like this a hit... an alternative meaning .

It's an interesting story. On the other hand, it has alot of basic flaws:
1. What reason would the Jewish priests have for safeguarding proof of Jesus's linage or his wife and kids?
2. How would the Templars recognize what any Hebrew documentation was, much less said (it would be around 1000 years old, so fairly fragile, and in Aramaic or Hebrew which french knights are not likely to be able to read).
3. The templars, if proof was found, would have to find any remaining descendants with around 900 years of gap.
4. It is more reasonable to assume they found a purely Jewish artifact such as the Ark...

The basis for this theory was presented in a book called "Holy Blood, Holy Grail" which while it appears to be a scholarly work, is actually a theory built on suppositions and assumptions that are later declared to be proof.

A massive load of crap, although I DO enjoy the fact that it provides an alternative interpretation of Christianity, if only to jolt people out of their usual patterns of thinking with regard to religion. But the underlying legend, which was already fully developed 25 years ago in such books as the (equally laughable) "Holy Blood, Holy Grail," is nothing but a clumsy, cheap hoax perpetrated by some bored French swindlers.

That said, the idea that the historical "Jesus" may have gotten his wang wet is certainly much less repugnant to common sense than, e.g., the notion that his mother was inseminated by a dove via the ear canal.

It's a fictional book, much like Jurassic Park or H.G. Well's the Time Machine. The theories presented in the Da Vinci Code come from other books.

I liked the DaVinci Code. I thought it was very entertaining. As far as any of it being true, i have no idea.I like to think Jesus fell in love and had someone to share his love with.If he has descendants, if they were known they'd be in danger. I think they'd be in more danger than anyone else on the planet, for so many reasons, and from so many different people. The thing I don't understand about the movie, when the woman, descendant of Jesus, was little- she went looking for her uncle or whoever it was and she went into that room and there was a bunch of people in robes, and they were standing around and watching the two people on the floor having sex. what the --- was that all about? If you, or anyone, knows what that was about, could you please email me or IM me? It's been driving me nuts.

It was a very good book and a fairly good movie. It is fiction, but some of the organizations and people that were represented are real or were real. I too think about what else might be out there that we have not seen. Anything is possible in God.

It's an unoriginal, over-rated book.

I've already known for years about the Council of Nicea, the Fibonacci sequence, books like "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", and simple religion 101 facts like how the tridents and swazstikas aren't universal symbols for evil.

Didn't impress me one bit.

it's a book of fiction containing facts, fictions, and suppositions about something that could, or couldn't, might or might not, should or shouldn't be the real story of the holy grail. i enjoyed both the book, and the movie. it didn't change what i know to be true knowledge of the holy grail!
