can i buy some kind of adapter? and where

It depends on the product. Look at the unit, does it say 100-240VAC 50-60hz? If so then all you need is an adapter.
However, if it says 240VAC 50Hz then you will either need some sort of transformer and adapter OR an outlet wired for 240 and an adapter. Also if the product has a motor, it could run faster that it is supposed to since it is set up for 50Hz instead of 60Hz

If an electronics store does not have the adapter then I would try a store that sells suitcases and other travel items.

Yes you will need an adapter and I believe Radio Shack would have the adapter. Be sure to make sure you check to see if the voltage is compatible.

ask ur local electronic store 4 a cord of the same voltage that ur austrailian device takes
