I totally agree with you dear, to me nobody right, it is just your faith that you believe in. So don't push your beliefs on others. just be happy with who you are, and don't preach.

Only if you have no basis to think you are right, is it arrogant to think you are. Galileo was right (and arrogant, actually), but his being right when everyone else was wrong does not make him arrogant. The same would be true when Godel completed his incompleteness theorems. He was right, when everyone else had been wrong. This is just a matter of fact, not hubris.

You are assuming that no religion is right or more right than others. This of course is a truth claim like any other, even those you find arrogant. And unless you have a powerful reason to say all other religious claims are false, you stand to be indicting yourself here.

Sorry.

It's only arrogant if you haven't looked into the other views. If you believe your view is right, before even studying the other view, then yes, that is arrogant. I am Christian, and I do believe that my religion is the correct one. But I also study other religions so it's not like I just assume that mine is correct without knowledge of other views. Furthermore, when somebody assumes that they are right, without looking at other views, and in addition to that, insults other views... then they just need to be put in an asylum or something. Unless they're a little kid, then they simply know no better. To all you who are like this... grow up.

God is always right, I am always wrong. Don't worry about it. Ignorance is bliss, and there are allot of very happy/bliss-full people out there. However, don't use that as a creative license to do "whatever feels good." Don't abandon what is right for what seems to bring instant gratification (not satisfaction). Don't give up on religion, don't stereotype cause a few people rubbed you the wrong way. Your smart, that's good to use your mind to figure out what is real (true), and what is junk (a lie). In any case, God bless you, I hope you have a nice day. Chow.

Hmmmm, is it arrogant to insist that 2+2=4, no matter how many other people insist that it is 5,7,8, or 243?

Is it arrogance to give directions to your town hall, relative to your own position, despite the presence of 1,000 people claiming you are lying?

Is this arrogance, or just certainty?

Is it arrogant to testify, in a court case, to what YOU KNOW you saw, despite the presence of false witnesses? No! The presence and overwhelming numbers of liars does not change the truth.

That which is real and true does not change. It is never arrogance to speak what is known as truth, especially in the presence of liars (and they DO exist). Speaking an inconvienent truth is not arrogant, it is courageous. Speaking a known lie is arrogant.

Non-religious people don't seem to get this!

It depends on who everyone else is. Given that almost everyone has an opinion and there are many that sort of agree with each other, it may often seem that a given group is in the majority or not. To really qualify your statement, you'd have to know the number of believers versus the number of non-believers (oh and add in some groups of people who say "I believe in X, but also admit that evolution is valid").

Oh yes, it is! That dratted Socrates, always thinking he's so smart: we fixed him! And you - how do you like your hemlock: one lump or two? And that bloody Italian - what the heck WAS his name - how DARE he suggest that God's own world, the Earth, is not the very center of the Universe! He had the good grace to recant when it was suggested that Divine Wrath would burn him at the stake otherwise... Yeah, it can be arrogant - and courageous - and monumentally stupid - to go against the masses!

I am not always right. Others are not always wrong. But God is always right. If you want to know more, just ask Him.

P.S. What is religion? It has started more wars and disagreements than anything else in the world. Religion is man's way of trying to control others and doing rituals and rules to please God.

God loves His Son, Jesus, and Jesus is God's way of reaching down to man.

I will honor God for His sacrifice of His only begotten Son, Jesus. Not religion

Only if you have no grounds for doing so. For instance, if it is your own opinion based on no supporting fact or concrete data. But If you base your beliefs on fact, observed supporting data, or writings /teachings that claim objective truth then you have grounds for believing that everyone else that does not believe as you do is wrong.

Not when we are right. Why do people assume this is arrogance. We live in humility before God, but that He wants us to have a relationship with Christ is clear to us. Why do we need to doubt it. Because you say so? Isn't that arrogant?
