I have both a federal refund and a state refund. I was wondering if they come to me on the same check or separately.

No, you will receive 2 checks -- one from the Federal Government and one from your State Government.

They come sperately, because it is two seperate tax entities, one should come a little earlier than the other.

no they come from two different governments. you'll get one from the us treasury and one from your states department of treasury
