I have long hair at the back but if I don't dry it and use a straightening iron it stays relatively curly. What I'd like is to be able to let it dry naturally and still be straight. Can anybody help? Is there a something that can permanently straighten it?

well there is a perm but you might not want that, you might just have to experiment with some products and see whats best for you. I have curly hair to so i know how you feel.

There are chemical straighteners you can use. I would suggest a professional. Depending on what you have done to your hair prior, as in, if you have colored it, could change the outcome. The thing about chemical straighteners is they do not guarantee perfectly straight hair. You stylist should tell you that before you get one. They are made to help relax the curl so that it is more manageable. At my salon they start at about $68 and go up. Good luck.

Relaxing your hair might cause your hair to thin out or even come out. Using chemicals in your hair is no good at all. Try using Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny products.... it makes your hair straight without the harmful chemicals they have shampoos and conditioners... they also have serums to protect you hair from the straightening iron. It won Stylist #1 choice for non-chemical straightening.... try it... i love it!

i don't think you can permanently straighten your hair.
but you could get one of the Japanese straightener processes or something where they straighten your hair and then it is straight for like a month or something and you can still wash it.
you could also get special shampoo that is supposed to make your hair straighter.
but if you have curly hair..SHOW IT! maybe you don't like it because you think it is "dull" or something. but its not! try some kind of shampoo that will accentuate your curls and make them more curly.

yes you can go to a salon and get it "relaxed" that is the street term for it. doing this could cost about $100 - but is well worth it - it lasts a couple months. But just be careful because i have heard rumors of it making people loose there hair A BIT - because of how strong it is.

just ask the hair dresses for more info.

My daughter is bi-racial and someone said a good way is to BRAID A FEW LARGER' braids at night , when wet, then when you take out, you get the effect.
