Yes. As an actor, there is so much 'meat' to work with in the roles. The anguish of Lady Capulet at the death of Tybalt, Regan and Goneril in King Lear. Shakespeare really captures the entirety of the human experience. He wrote not just for the gentrified and the wealthy but for all classes, hence, the baudy humor or the tragic moments. Each character serves a different strata of society and each line is sculpted in such a manner. Once you get down to brass tacks, he's not that difficult to understand and no playwright gives you more material to flesh out a character than he does.

I like Shakespeare but only when watching his plays not reading them. The comedies are very funny even today and the tragedies still can reduce us to tears. There is nothing sadder than King Lear when he is weeping over his daughter Cordelia. And who doesn't want to hit Othello as he spreads his lies. It is amazing that plays written so long ago are still so relevant today.
I'm not so keen on his poetry but there are a couple of sonnets that I really like.
