Stick with clear liquids...anything you can see through, she can have. Some examples are chicken broth, apple juice, flat ginger ale or sprite (the bubble/carbonation will cause stomach bloating and gas), jello (just not the red one in case she vomits, you want to be sure it's not blood), even hard candies are okay. This will be just for a day or two. Once her tummy feels better, you can start with Saltine crackers or noodle soup.

If it's just a stomach bug, and if she's asking to eat, let her have a bit of whatever sounds good to her (within reason!) This is what I always did with my kids, by 8 she's old enough to judge what sounds good and what she feels she'd be able to keep down. Give her a saltine or 2 and see how she does with that, then go from there.

Sorry to hear that - best not eat anything solid for at least 24 hours but it is vital that she drinks plenty of water. Avoid dairy, milk and cheese. If it lasts more than 48 hours then consult your Doctor. Try a piece of dry toast to start with. Hope she feels much better soon. You could also give her a sachet of Diorylate to replace the lost minerals, available at any chemist.

be careful. it could be an appendix problem. if she experiences extreme pain or discomfort and projectile vomiting see a doctor right away.
if she hasnt eaten in 2 days see a doctor today. dont wait. she may need to have her appendix checked. they cant operate if their is food in the stomach. Some people make the deadly mistake of thinking its the flu when it could be a ruptured appendix. be safe.

If your child has a stomach bug, don't let her eat intil it has passed, just keep the fluids going into her, children can cope without food for days but not fluids

My mom gave me crackers and broth heavy soups. I think that 7up settled my stomach as well. It is not good to put anything too heavy on her stomach.
